I got mine at 29 years old, got a car too and while its fun and usefull I still wouldnt say that I need it

Everyone I know got it when they were 18 (except a few girls). I think Stockholm kids might not bother to the same extent as the rest of us.

I got mine when I was 24 because it was a time where I could finally afford a decent used car and had a need for it. When I was a university student living a large city it was largely useless.

I also find driving to be uncomfortable.
I wouldn't call it "being afraid" of driving but Im always overtly cautious and after a while I get really mentally tired and need a break. I'm just not very good at it to be honest. One of the reasons I bought an automatic transmission rather than manual. One less thing to always keep in mind.

That being said I do all of the preventive maintenance on the car myself.
I do my oil, fluids, filters, brakes and belts.
