I’m meaning fragrances/scents in general btw. Cologne, perfume, aftershave, deodorant, etc. Anyway, ignore the mutt. He doesn’t leave the house enough to necessitate its use.

I've always considered cologne and deodorant very different things, deodorant is the armpit sweat blocker but then cologne is just the stuff you throw on to smell a certain way. Do you use those word interchangeably there?

I remember reading that Asian people sweat less in general, so they haven't started using deodorant in the same magnitude. And maybe their culture was different washing wise as well. Europeans used to just cover up the smell for a long time, instead of going to bathhouses, and then it stuck even if people don't smell as much nowadays. Like I doubt that anyone would be bothered in the end, if everyone just stopped wearing deodorant. Showering in the morning would probably be fine
