It’s a weird French people thing. You’d be surprised how many cartoons come out of Quebec as well

Ton commentaire n'est pas destiné pour la France j'espère. Sinon tu es très bête en plus de vivre dans une grotte.

It’s known all over the world.

wasn't the character of Tintin based on some belgian fascist leader?

Leon Degrelle of the Rexist party? I did hear he was friends with Hergé so it wouldn't surprise me.

No

Yeah that one! I remember a french user a few month back having excessive knowledge about it.
Well, calling national socialists fascists is technically wrong so...

I know this joke, you're suposed to say it with a deep voice: salut moi c'est Hercule

Yes France and us have always been bros and I know that the comics were/are big there too. I mostly grew up reading Jommeke. I loved it as a kid but I don't know how well known it was beyond our borders. Picrel was my favorite of the series. Maybe some Dutch user can relate as well. I feel that this was even more read in flanders than tintin desu

Never seem Jommeke, I did see Quick and Flipke, Olivier Blunder, de Smurfen (of course) and a few others.
I take it you're Flemish, did you ever see De Generaal or Agent 327 in Flanders?

Non mais tout ce qui se passe et est fait en Belgique on connait.

thanks to france

>Quick and Flipke
I completely forgot about that, damn that shit was good too

& No I haven't heard about those. I grew up in a small village with a small library at the time. Their collections were never that big unfortunately

We got everything here Tintin, Spirou, Marsupilami, Astérix every French kid here knows these
