We really are a joke country
We really are a joke country
I literally know nothing about congress, the senate, what they are, what they do, etc.
Based
whoever made this meme knows literally nothing about the US government and how it was formed, thats what congress is for you dumb fucks.
I want to beat OP and whoever made this meme with a steel rod.
I don't want more Californian senators.
My fellow Californians would just vote in more jew senators.
>MOB RULE GOOD WHEN IT SUITS US
The senate is 2 per state.
Congress is proportional.
Did you just NOT pay attention during civics????
There really is a disturbingly high number of Americans who complain about this stuff while knowing little to nothing about it. Most of these “critiques” are allowed to flourish by the ignorance of whoever’s sharing it, because a lot of the time the information is either a misunderstanding or an intentional fabrication.
Shouldn't the number of representatives in the senate be proportional to the population of that state?
The senate is part of congress.
You see this logic most commonly applied to the electoral college. Literally the only time anyone comes out to blast the EC is right before or after an election, and the only people who ever do it are the ones who voted for the losing side.
>letting a small handful of states choose the country's fate
uh, cringe check? This entirely disallows regionally diverse input if we were to let california, texas, and new york make all of the choices
The House is proportional, the Senate is two per state.
Okay.
And?
Only Feinstein is Jewish. Harris isn't.
>mob rule is good when energy executives and arms contractors are doing it
House of Reps is based around population, Senate is based around states. It's a system designed to prevent a tyranny of the majority as the Founders understood that states had differing views on things.
Congress is not porportional
What the hell are you talking about?
Now look at the representatives
Also that chart makes me hungry for PB&J
You keep stating facts and not actually making an argument. Here, let me help you.
>[Fact], therefore [truth].
You can do this, chief. I believe in you.
>mob rule
It’s called a democratic process you fucking retard
The senate is part of congress, therefore congress is not porportional.
aka mob rule
I think everyone knows that Jackson
If you don’t like democracy then go live in North Korea retard
But who'll keep the tyranny of the Senate in check?
You're one dumb fuck
boomer moment
Why should the population of California unilaterally decide what is done for people in other parts of the country?
President/Supreme Court
US system of government was based, moreso when they just let white land owning males vote
The entire point is to give minority voting blocks more power in order to prevent ridiculously unbalanced voting from densely populated areas. The real problem is that the state system doesn't work, we need to either consolidate Midwest states into a single voting bock, or balkanize. And I favor balkanization, although it doesn't have to be on a massive scale.
Because they are more people.
Americans are braindead
Has to be bait
you have failed to clarify what "mob rule" is and how it differs from the status quo.
Why should the reverse happen?
What happens when there are policies that heavily favour densely populated states but completely devastate lower populated states.
It doesn't
What happens when the opposite occurs?
We literally don’t need to do anything. All this talk of “we need to do this” or “we need to do that” is literally just cope because they didn’t get what they wanted.
you have to be really stupid to not understand why they set the house of representatives and the senate up the way they did. it isn't perfect but if you think it should simply based off of population you have a room temperature IQ
yea I'm thinking based
If only there was some system that balanced the voting for all states
>I literally know nothing about congress, the senate, what they are, what they do, etc.
So explain it to us bruv
At least you’re fucking honest. So many of these retards run around just pretending like they do.
I think that he means that he wants an explanation for the reason behind the disproportionality.
>1 representative per each 50,000 so the people are represented
>2 senators per state so smaller states get a disproportionate amount of power with regards to their population to help even the political field for each state a bit
It is not democracy, which seems to confuse people for some reason. America is a republic that embraces certain pluralistic ideals.
>more people must be right
What do you expect from high school dropouts and literal favela vine swingers?
Read the constitution. The USA is a republic, not a democracy.
>dabs on C*lifornians and urbanoids
>america
>democracy
California has a lower % urban population than average
lol
