The fuck is this bullshit? When I was doing my undergrad for engineering if you failed the final exam you failed the course and if you had a total average below a certain threshold you failed the year.

Depends where you work. If you work for state company it can be around 1k euro. If you try your luck in private sector usually everyone reaches 1.5k after some time. Pays higher than 2k are achievable but rare. To earn more than that you need to sell your soul like me and be a field engineer and travel everywhere.

Wait, what? You fail/pass the whole year in French university? It's not on a course by course basis? In Finland you have to pass every single course to graduate, doesn't matter if you do well in the more important ones.

Basically those UE1; UE2 etc... is the aggregate of all the grades part of the section. So you can see that even with a fucking 2 & 7, i still got 10.917 in UE1 because of the lesson i had 16.5 & a couple of 14... I chose my lessons, which were basically the ones with higher coefficient.

I was a pretty average (although bit bad) student in my first 3 years, then doing exceptionnaly well when I had actual subjects that I wanted to study, even with notoriously tough professors(was the terror of second year students, now is in elite schools) I had +14
