Why do Iranians think of their old pagen religions? I always though Islam really didn't belong in iran seeing how it was a massive cultural and religious center for most of history?

Having lived beside Muslims and dealt with ethnic tensions all my life I literally am laughing hard on this artwork.

Anyways, when I was in 8th grade I got into an argument with my Muslim classmate and he started quoting violent verses from the Gita to show that Hinduism is violent and islam is peaceful. I hadn’t read anything about islam but he had a lot about hindu texts and he absolutely destroyed me in that debate. It was then I headed to the library and got a copy of the Qur’an and certain sections of the Hadiths translated and scanned it to find flaws, objectionable ideas and since there was no Internet in India back the finding dirt on any religion was much harder and you had to do it from the texts.

Still I have read a play called “Khadijah”. It is a Hindi play about the life of Muhammad during the rise of Islam, dedicated to his first and oldest wife.

Majority of their Pagans fled to India during the arab conquest as refugees and became the Parsis. There is a small community there as well.
