I think it’s a result of people being fed up with celebrity culture linking up with hyperbolic culture war and Qanon autism. If you hate hollywood celebrities and their politics you can feel validated by ascribing the worst possible offenses and motives to them.

This is one I can believe. I use YouTube to coom, I mostly watch 90's runway fashion shows (it's what does it for me, don't ask), but I noticed that when the YouTube algorithm picks up on the fact that you're mainly using it to wank it starts suggesting videos of little girls getting massaged and creepy stuff like that. I've never clicked on them but I'm pretty sure if you delved further you'd find some pretty weird shit.
