how deep is your roots in a country you's from? or in other words, tracing your lineage back, when, if ever, did your ancestors move from somewhere else to wherever you are now and whatever country and nationality you rep?

Moved from Punjab to work as bureaucrats in Mauryan empire courts.

Half Persian a quarter Cuban (mostly Canarian) and a quarter Irish. My Iranian dad moved here in the 1980s, and my Cuban grandma moved here in the 1960s. My Irish side has been here since the early 1900s. Yes, the mutt meme is real, but it applies to this whole continent.

Mutts in the US are mostly exclusive to big cities and suburban areas. You won't find anybody with Persian ancestry in rural Idaho.

The only thing happening in rural idaho is incest

Pretty deep. Dad's descended from deep rooted southerners who moved up to Indiana after the Civil War. Mom's side is the pretty standard midwest mutt mix of German/Irish who came over in the mid 19th century.

tracing lineage is the hobby of mutts

Most archives about my family tree were accidentally burned down in 40's. (my dad thinks it was intentional to assimilate people) I'm georgian and all my relatives/ ancestors were farmers who lived in literallywhocares mountains. I don't think they moved anywhere except another literallywhocares mountain

cringe and soulless take

Semi-rural Appalachian fag here. All my family is from Europe and some of my ancestors were the first to come to the US. I also (supposedly) have some native American in me. Scots-irish, Anglo, French, German, Denmark, and Sweden. Most of them were fleeing from the violence resulting from then protestant reformation, namely the French, Germans, and Anglos. I had ancestors on both sides of the revolution (Hessian Mercenary) and the American civil war. I think I'm about as American as you could be, my parents always taught me a deep respect for our land and the people who live here. I hate seeing my comfy backwater town be invaded by fucking transients from Ohio but there is not much I can do about it

Not very deep.
>t. anchor baby

All of my ancestry is Russian peasants, so I guess my roots are here since time immemorial.

as far as church records go, around 500 years, my family is from the same area

oldest I know of is 160 years, which is ancient tier for western canada

Dad is an immigrant, mom is split.
Her father was half Italian, half Dutch.
Her mother was Croat.
I also got a wife who is half Dutch/Half Turk.
So basically Euromutt.

>when, if ever, did your ancestors move from somewhere else
from siberia: long ago
from italy/spain: 1700s-1920s

Do you acknowledge your Greekness, or larp as Turkoid.
Also are people in Turkey aware when they are Greek, Balkan, Armenian, Arab or Kurd or do they always larp as Turk

There are church records back to the late 1400s in England, and we know my family left England in the late 1880s / 1890s. I still have family in the US, throughout the commonwealth, and in the UK

Bulgarian all the way to the great-great-grandpa, who is a Romanian Bulgarian (Dobruja). After that I neither know nor care because I'm not American.

This. All that gene cope is even worse. All it takes to find out whether you're white or not is an honest look into the mirror.

Chinese traders from Guangdong, paternally my ancestor left the mainland 7 generations back.
