Is this a common sight in the United States of America?
Is this a common sight in the United States of America?
No.
Usually the Subway employee has one too.
That doesn't look very secure? What's stopping Tyrone from overpowering whitey and stealing his gun?
The fact that he has a gun?
But he looks weak as fuck and has it strapped to his back. It would be easier to shove him around and steal it than for him to draw it up and shoot in time
hey, that's The 8-Bit guy. he does some pretty neat videos
what if he has a concealed Glock too?
WTF
is that 8bit guy
No, since he's not wearing his mandatory mask
I mean, it’s not the best way to open carry but he literally has it slung across is body. You’d have a hell of time getting it off him let alone pointing it at him.
Why are americans so obsessed with guns? I mean when i watch some politicial commentary about the elections and now about that jewish judge died who's gonna replace her. It's mostly about guns. Aren't there any actual policies people talk about?
yea
It’s about guns because the Supreme Court is who interprets the constitution to determine what’s legal and obviously that includes the 2nd Amendment.
Canadians pretending not to be intimately familiar with the US is my favorite Zig Forums meme
he shoots all niggers on sight
literally a penis extension lmao
Don't you have quite a few other amendments? Why are gun rights getting all the spotlight? Is just easier to understand than other policies?
>Is just easier to understand than other policies?
Partly that, partly it's one of the most frequently and openly violated. First and fourth are also fairly often, but it's usually hidden somewhat.
Voting rights also to some extent, but they're not specifically defined in the constitution so it's easier to do some legal hand wringing to justify it since they are based on much more verbose language in later legislation.
Because some people want to see it removed
Also, there’s a ton of others. You just don’t hear about them. Don’t ask me why the news and YouTube only shows you shit about guns. You’d have to ask them.
I see. Why are americans acting like the constitution like a bible that can't be changed other than supreme court or stuff like that? It's a bit like some "unelected" pope type scolars determine what's right or wrong. I know they're appointed by the president, but they stay there until they die, just like the pope who is also elected and stays in the office until he dies. Doesn't sound really democratic to me
Yeah I have fucked up neck posture because of my trade as a programmer. My neck is fucked. I don't know how to fix it
I mean most countries has a constitution, but it can be changed with parliament majority 2/3. That's been done several times. Why is the US constitution like the bible cannot be changed?
i don't think i can stomach his videos anymore
Because guns are the most direct power you can hold as a citizen. It's more important to be able to own a gun than to be legally protected in your speech.
>Why are americans acting like the constitution like a bible that can't be changed other than supreme court or stuff like that?
It shouldn't even be changed by the supreme court. The entire point of the constitution is to be a document that makes sure some very important aspects of the law can never be changed. Those laws aren't supposed to be changeable, not now, not ever. You'd have to throw out the constitution and make a new governing entity and a new legal entity for the country to change it.
a rifle is nearly useless for self defense in a city
even a gun is questionable in close quarters where they can stab or beat you before you can produce it
Only if you're an idiot who doesn't train how to use a gun after buying it.
>a rifle is nearly useless for self defense in a city
user, this is CoD logic not based on reality.
>Doesn't sound really democratic to me
Why do people say this as if we were ever supposed to be a 100% direct democracy or something?
Oh, the constitution can be changed. Has been several times. But it requires a large (3/4) majority of congress and the the states to approve it.
But that takes a lot of work, making good arguments and building consensus. I bet you can guess how often that happens.
>a rifle is nearly useless for self defense in a city
This is true, pistols are much better for general carry. Also, open carry, while i oppose criminalizing it in any way, is stupid and only makes you a target.
>This is true
It’s not true. Why are you LARPing like you know what you’re talking about if you don’t?
I think I understand now. The core legislature is done in the supreme court how to interpret the constitution. That's why those judges are so important?
Nah I'm just curious how the US political system works. Our politicians break the constitution with many laws and we don't have a constitutional judicial system to keep them from oppressing the constitution, not the same kinda you have. I think that's a good system overall. But not life time term you end up. There could be something in between
I'm a law student so overall just curious about other judicial system. I've been studying the EU law and oh boy is that a clusterfuck lmao
