For real though, empires this size are unrealistic. Rome was so big because of the Mediterranean and the major border rivers that facilitated quick communication. Mongolian empire was big because of their equestrian lifestyle and relative emptiness (in peoples and natural obstacles) of their area, and even then it collapsed soon. Same with Alexander.
