They're leading the world in covid response

but would that translate into monetary gainz is the real question

Yes
But it will take at least 15years to catch up thailand first

There are some surprisingly pretty houses from vietnamese architects.
The country sports a solid GDP growth for decades too. I wouldn't bet against it.

VGH..THE BRICK HOUSES OF VIETNVM...

Trump already approved of Abe's Indo-Pacific strategy.
India will soon join our team, Vietnam too.
The more chinks act cocky with expansionism, the more countries will join our team.
This is Japan's great plot. It will go down as Abe's best legacy.

Get on our train before it's too late.

China (*Canada) man triggered so hard, insisting ching chong missile to Tokyo, kek to read

Abe also outperformed South Korea with this well-prepared plot.
Gooks must choose which side to be, Indo-Pacific, or China's OBOR.
They can't have it both ways. They must choose one.
If they choose OBOR, we will immediately kick them out of our political/economic spheres.

Then, SK will return to a chink province, back to the pre-1st Japan-Sino war period.
Gooks will know their place.

Hmm.... I'm thinking.... no.

Ah of course the Brazilian likes gaudy internationalist drecks that could be from anywhere. Don't you have a monkey soup to eat instead of posting here?

Lol. This made me disgusted

It won't dumbass.
Also anyone's not respecting their host country and always dreaming of their shithole "fatherland" instead should go the fuck back or get the rope.

it must look so out of place next to traditional french style houses

what is with the hostilities?
did my people kill your ancestors or something?

UGH

I fucking love Vietnam. I want to move out there.
Its shithole status just means it would be cheaper for me.

I have as much love for traditional architecture and I long for the revival of Portuguese colonial style here. I'm just not a boring philistine like you.

I hope it is one day, user.

Vietnam is maybe he only Asian country that has good modern architecture

Automation pretty much doomed countries still in sweatshop phase and corona devastated export and tourism sector from lack of demand for the next few years.
Probably join my country in the 'forever developing' club once wage growth stagnates.
Abandon hope
Embrace purgatory

This one is in a rural area. Not that I think there's any problem with mixing different styles in a common neighborhood.

I lived in bac ninh and Hanoi for 3 years, even in that short time I saw lots of development

bery nice

If you think 6-7% growth is good enough to catch up, you should look up to Taiwan and China's growth during tiger economy

If this board is any indication, unfortunately no.

None of those buildings you posted have any connection to the history or culture of Vietnam. Architecture should try to incorporate the local heritage and building materials to synthesize something new which is possible

What did you do out there?

TEFL dancing monkey

Visited Saigon for first time over 3 years ago, first metro line was well over halfway finished.
Today, first metro line still just 75% completed.

>In 2020, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyễn Chí Dũng petitioned to the National Assembly to switch development of the remaining sections of the North–South expressway to state funding instead of build-operate-transfer contracts, in order to avoid delays in raising capital and to reduce interest amount. He noted that Chinese provinces Yunnan and Guangxi built 2,000 kilometres (1,243 mi) of expressways in three years, whereas 1,300 kilometres (808 mi) of planned expressway in Vietnam should have been completed decades ago.

Same in Hanoi, they've been trying to build an overhead metro for years. Apparently they had lots of issues with the chinese contractor.
