Actually, Lithuanians have more haplogroup N1c than R1a. The Indo-Aryans who invaded and conquered India were pretty much 99% R1a.

I thought you meant the house needs to be painted with shit to make it look more like India

Lithuanian English is shining through in this text.

Well the price is right, I’d probably live there for €4500. You can do a lot worse for a lot more money here.
Jaxon Lee
> less than 5k euros

You will probably need to put in just as much money as the property is being sold for in order to get modern infrastructure.

>Anykščiai
How bad/poor is this place/district
Aiden Reyes
Thinking about getting a house somewhere in rural Latvia. The prices are similar.
With all this remote work thing, I can work in almost any Riga/Tallinn-based IT firm and live 2 hours away from biggest Baltic city and don't have any neighbours. AND have a decently sized piece of land for my bee farm.
Luke Cooper
It's a comfy semi-resort town. However, the house itself is located in a small town (less than 300 ppl) 23 kilometers away from Anykščiai.
William Cruz
Great plan

I find similar prices in rural abandoned villages all the way from Bulgaria to the Lithuania.
Some of them have hidden secrets like gypsy mobs roaming and killing old people. Doubt this is present in the Baltics. Yes there's no jobs, but you work online.
Eli Gomez
I could literally buy one of these. Is this a bad idea? Are they scams? I like Lithuania
Levi Harris
I'm pretty sure there are rules against non-Lithuanians buying up domestic properties
Jace Taylor
>Are they scams?
No. Their small prices are just a combination of two factors:
1. They're old and perhaps need lots of improvement.
2. They're located in rural areas without services or jobs. You'd need to drive at least 20 kilometers to the nearest town that has those.
Cameron Edwards
Lol no. Actually, there is this trend of foreigners buying abandoned apartments for pennies so they could get long-term visas and free travel in the EU.
Justin Jones
>Lol no
surely there must be some kinda law? is this an EU thing or Lithuanian thing? I believe the EU allows foreigners to buy only commercial properties?
> Actually, there is this trend of foreigners buying abandoned apartments for pennies so they could get long-term visas and free travel in the EU.
