The sterotype here is that if you play soccer it means that you were too small and unatheltic to play any other sport. American football requires you to be big strong , fast and take all kinds of hits. Basketball you need to be tall and atheltic and with ice hockey it's easily the only sport where you can straight up fist fights people and it's filled with body checks. If you can't handle any of these you usually join the soccer team
