I'm not an expert but I believe it's because Azerbaijan is simply closer to a a relatively westernized Turkey and Azeris basically started to copy the Turkish lifestyle after SU collapsed, their housewives watch Turkish soap operas about modern, educated women working as managers in big construction companies and think this is what their life should look like.
