When i was forced to do spanish class i had to do some assignment where we had to learn about a spanish speaking country and i got chile. To my knowledge today chile isn't as bad as it used to be but anywhere outside of santiago is kinda 2nd world tier. I'd probaly say that chile one of the better of south american countries and Pinochet was super based so chile seems pretty good.

Russia is seen as manly and cool here in TX. Russians are friendly enough, but they're usually really rare around here. Never met one I didn't get along with, and alot of them fill the same niche as texans with "probably works a decent job but also knows about outdoors/farm/ranch/hunting life

Germany is my opinion gets a bad rep and I don't really know why. I find german as a language to sound nice and actually kind of beutiful. Also about the Rhineland, how is it possible to have people seethe about such a non issue. Correct me if I'm wrong but haven't french people lived there for atleast the last 100 years or so. Overall atleast your better than france and spain in my opinion.

I lived in Germany for a year with the US army, but in Bavaria. I'm very biased towards Bavaria, but in my experience germany gets best if (from the center) you go south or west and the germans get happier as well. Germany was a bit of an oddity for me, because I would walk around seeing people who looked like my uncle, my neighbor, etc., but they wouldn't know english. It was really novel since I grew up in Texas, where coming across a white person who didn't know English would be extremely odd. Germany has underrated food and germans in general will not really open up until you have been friends for a while, and then they're great people.

Also the gas stations and rest stops are completely spotless and I rarely, if ever, saw a single piece of trash anywhere. I stuck to the countryside and small cities though, I went to munich twice, both to go to the airport.
