Why is the rest of europe so piss poor compared to the 'big 4'?

From Charles Murray and his book, Human Accomplishment. Based on his unique system of rosters and inventories assessment

Why do europeans confuse having government programs with having an identity? Why does welfare make you feel uniquely european?

bump

Coincidently these are also all the people (include spain in this) that people are constantly trying to claim they look like

Prestige

What I don't understand is how a small segment of Europe is so disproportionately successful

What happensed at Hungary, Slovakia, Poland and South Italy to see it drop so hard? A different culture or philosophy across the millennium?

What's not to understand? Greeks and Italians were the first, and most of these other countries were in close proximity to them and interacted with them more. For example Eastern European is still a shithole because most of their countries escaped the influence of the south. They avoided the major impact the Romans had, they also avoided the impact the renaissance had on western europe which led to the scientific revolution in western europe which led to the industrial revolution starting in western europe

why don't plebbitors give credit to greece ?

so there are no innate differences in intelligence which affect it? it was because of proximity and happenstance?

yeah, education is the key, not genes

if only Belgium and the Netherlands were put together...

I would not say that, but we in the west certainly got lucky with not only our placement in Europe and the tribes/people who frequented these places, but Italy's placement as well. We got the bigger headstart than Eastern Europe.

A lot to do with population density

...as part of the new Holy Roman Empire (UGH...)

not sure this population density was effective back then.

so you're saying that historical circumstances and NOT innate differences in intelligence are the reason the rest of europe doesn't compare?

yes

based

not trying to be blunt, but why do they still contribute little compared to UK/Germany/France, with the benefits of education access and interconnected academia?

victimised mindset and mobbish politicians.

seems like leftist argumentation for underperforming minorities

they've only recently had much access to that, whereas the blue banana countries have a longer industrial/educational tradition. you need stable governments, riches and hundreds of years to reverse their trends

WHERE MY ANGLO/GERMAN/FRENCH BROS @

it takes a very long time to change the mindset of the people

things in Romania are improving slowly but substantially

This map is so fucking stupid. It includes naples but exludes the rest of the kingdom ignoring that all the rich families flocked there for higher education given the kingdom was really centralized

what are you trying to imply?

contribute to what?

>percentage
>200
>300
>400
uhhh

that charles murray is correct in assuming that there are differences in intellectual capacity between europeans

science, arts, civilization in general

I don't understand, why are they separating Spain from Al-Andalus like that?
We unironically wuz.
