Nope. Australian immigration is really tough and to actually get permanent residence without being STEM it could take you years. More Indians permanently settle in Australia than Chinese. Chinese as I said before are 90% only here temporarily, not actual residents of the country.

Not that I know of. It's a really touchy issue in Australia and most don't want to do anything too much in case people saw it as 'Stolen Generation 2' which would be political suicide for anyone. There are people advocating for more help but I don't think it will change anything.

Well there are two expectations on Chinese people in Australia. The first is universal and is basically 'do not talk shit about China, Chinese policies, or the Chinese government' - the CCP actively monitors social media use from overseas Chinese and if they have family back in Beijing or wherever they are basically used as hostages. The second expectation is that Chinese in positions of power in Australian companies and organisations help the Chinese government by stealing trade secrets or getting them clandestine IT access. There have been several cases of this happening, some of them in the US and in other western countries. Basically the fewer ties you have to China the less you care about that stuff so the new immigrants are the problem, it doesn't really apply to Chinese who have been here for decades.
