1 in 4 Turks is accepting of homosexuality. When did Turkey become so progressive? Are the Turks that post on Zig Forums pro-gay?

>inb4 posting homo pics from Ottoman times

Turkey was never that conservative. Always been a middle ground between gay Europe and Islamic ME.

Sounds like Euro cope

OP's pic, general laws and culture of Turkey and their history proves it to be true.

I dont crossdress outside, I just have a bf to sex sex sex

Okay, but do people know you or your bf are gay?

only our friends know, I'm keeping it a secret from my parents at the moment

How easy was it to come out tor your friends? Are there a lot of out gays in Turkey?

It was easy since my friends are lgbt supporters. There are a lot of gays in turkey not sure how many of them are out of the closet though. I have some publicly gay friends.

So what makes Turkey so liberal in comparison to other Middle Eastern countries? Was it more conservative when you were a kid? Where in Turkey do you live?

Well I think since Ataturk and stuff we became really secular and westernized but over time especially after Erdogan regime we are getting less and less secular and eastern. Currently we are in between being a middle eastern shithole and a first world country. I live in the west which is very progressive.

I guess it kind of was more conservative when I was a kid but ever since the whole lgbt stuff gained attention worldwide we have been kind of hit as well.

Do you think you could be as open in a place like Konya or Adana? Is the liberalization just restricted to Western Turkey?

>Konya
no
>Adana
I'm actually from here :D I'm in the west currently for college. Well it's not that bad of a place, there are some bad parts of the city but if you know where to go, it can be quite progressive as well.

Do you like Western liberals?

oğlanamcığı postla

My man.

Do you know out gay people in Adana?

Yes a lot of people.

No one really cares, Mexico in general has been liberal for a while, in the "I don't give a shit about other people" sense for a while now.

Most children in Mexico today are born out of wedlock, for example, more than any European country.

Do you think most young people as a whole are accepting of gays now?

>Most children in Mexico today are born out of wedlock
