they started to crack down on the niggas
an american said the police started racial profiling
Because there are no more “Americans” in NYC now
drugs and crime
it's safe now because all those people are in jail
god bless
The police started a war on black people.
racial profiling has been going way the fuck before the 70's/80's
Something to do with lead pipes making people violent.
More retards then
don't forget roe vs wade
Unironcally because of genetrifaction. When Rudy Giuliani became mayor he made it so that apartments were unaffordable kicking out all the lower class residents. Nowadays you have hipsters living in Harlem

it was full of white people, and ever since whites = violence, NY was violent
There was a big crime wave in the late 60s brought on by heroin and because most of the jobs in inner cities disappeared from white flight and deindustrialization.
It got fixed in the 90s because of very aggressive policing under Bratton and Guiliani, combined with gentrification pushing out all the poor people.
Also, crime in general went down around America and through most of the industrialized world, probably because of some combination of abortion, leaded gasoline, and the end of the baby boom.
How did he make the rents go up?
abortion
by increasing the price duh
i meant this en.wikipedia.org
which if true, is bad news for new york as the numbers of stops have declined massively since 2011
How can the mayor just increase home prices? Are the majority of apartments state owned?
NYC was never safe
Look up broken window theory
He didn't, prices went up because Gen X thought cities were cool and started to move back in from the suburbs.
LITERALLY the same thing has just happened in London, Boris Johnson had stop and search so the police could stop and search the blacks for knives and Khan removed it because it was waycist and surprised surprised the blacks started stabbing each other again.
An italian major saved it, as always, euros doing what latinos can't
No, and Rudy didn't do anything to raise prices. Building was effectively illegal since the 1960s but it didn't affect prices since people were leaving the city anyway. When the city became safer demand returned and prices skyrocketed. But there are still a lot of poor people outside of Manhattan and north Brooklyn
t. evil freakonomics guy
you can artificially inflate apartment prices
>increase property taxes
>oh look now we need to raise rent to pay these taxes
either way the crime rate goes down
>NYC is safe now
law and order and they basicly chased out all the poor people with high rents
It has one of the lowest murder rates of any major city in the USA ( depending on your defention of a major city). Really on San Diego and Austin are lower than then them
>tfw live in nyc next to mexican neighborhood
>girl raped and killed last year at my block's corner
maybe it was because they're poor and prone to crime
