First game I liked enough to do everything there was to do in it.
First it was just having fun with the cheats. Months later I got into the missions, shit was hard cause I was a kid.
Eventually I tried passing the game with no cheats. Then 100%. Then Easter Eggs and such. What a great experience.

there's a lot of gangs but most of them are petty thugs and bored teenagers trying to earn street cred. there are larger and more organized ones that conduct businesses and battles with other crime syndicates. A lot of blacks have jobs and families though, there is a growing black middle class as well.

I love Vice City but I prefer San Andreas because of the bigger map and the fact that CJ can swim.
Vice City is undeniably the second best GTA though.

VC's story was cooler imo. But I agree the lack of swimming was a big problem. My problem with San Andreas was that while the map was big, majority of it, especially the countryside was lacking in detail. With Vice City you could find tons of secret even in the river ways that ran between the cities. And the overall aesthetic was much more "lively". San Andreas had this gloomy aesthetic while Vice City's colours were more lively.

For me
most of my childhood I had a ps2 with gta3.
When I was in middle school we got an xbox and I got gta iv, that was so fun.
In high school I played gta v. I played SA a few years after that when I heard gta v was a remake of it.
I like the story and geography and atmosphere in SA the most, but overall V is my favorite game for the mechanical improvements and detail in the world. I liked online more than single player because it reminded me a lot of saints row 2, which is my fav of that type of game.
