They really got the short end of the stick, it is a legit tragedy. That said if they do, I hope they only exile me instead of decapitating me.

You have no Mayan blood? Are you Iberian?

Mestizo, but to a certain degree being "maya" is cultural here i.e your language and dress matter a lot. Not if you are mostly euro of course, but many people that are racially maya identify as "ladino" because they speak spanish, live in the cities etc. This is because we had such a large maya population. It is actually quite complicated to find out in our census.

>we must
so latinos should stop oppresing them so instead you can oppress them?

what if you are White but speak mayan and are culturally Mayan?
What if you are mestizo but is 90% Malayan by blood but only speak Spanish?

Mayans belong to the Big Latino Cock

The former is so rare and ridiculous no one takes it seriously. The latter is actually common and many like this will not identify as maya anymore.

What happened to the olmec poster?

>be majority native to the land
>identify with alien European mutt culture
Man Latin America is multitudes of fucked up

>The former is so rare and ridiculous no one takes it seriously
Agree, the most common was actually african slaves and indigenous since the children of slaves with a indigenous person where not consider slaves by the spanish crown. That meant that it was more common to see african slaves pretty much integrating to indigenous communities and eventually only speak their language.

For me it's the opeño people

Are you ethnically Japanese?

latin culture is not european, it is a blend. That said, it is a complex issue and people need to make a living and it is very hard to do so in the maya highlands in their communities. It is quite sad really.

>what if you are White but speak mayan and are culturally Mayan?
There was some spanish dude that shipwrecked im mayan territory and became a mayan even fighting along side them against the spanish

>What if you are mestizo but is 90% Malayan by blood but only speak Spanish?
As the guatebro sayd, being a native nowdays Is More about culture than anything else, i guess in theory a 90% mayan dude could become one if he learned and got involved in the culture

>"maya" is cultural here
That's the case in all of latin america. When i was a kid i knew three kids who were all at least 80% native, but they didn't identify as such because they didn't walk around with feathers on their heads or live in a jungle.

Yeah, some of the recognized afromexican communities also identify as native, i think they are otomi ir some shit like that, plus the negros mascogos (black seminoles that succesfully fled to Mexico)

In America people who are 1% Native call themself Native American but in Latin American people who are 90% Native call themself Mestizo. crazy

many do, but again it is a complex issue

In latin america culture is the base of identity, in America it is race, that's why this place is race obssesed btw.

Well yeah, to be honest i think thats worse, see you may be very indigenous , but if you dont come from one of those communities, dont speak the language, dont dress as such and so on, thruth is you dont really live the actual hardships of being a native in latinamerica, for you its nothing more than a curiosity, a larp and a convinient way of planting victim instead of assuming a stance against what they live thru

Also for the most part, we have no actual idea of what exactly Is our native heritage, what am i supposed to claim? Part of the family Is from Michoacán al j may be slightly purépecha, but other part Is from the south so mixteco, tlaxcaltecas moved around so Is almost a given you arw ay least a meme percentage one of those too

Shits too complicated, for good or bad we lost the connections and cant never really get them back, better love kn with our new identity and uplift the natives still here

It's funny when I see mostly white latinos calling themselves indigenous in US and a lot of brown mestizos try to pass as white. Is it the same in Latin American countries?

>uplift the natives still here
read about that actually. That was attempted by the mexican government after the rev war. It didn't change much, before it was you are getting fucked because of your race and after the war, you are getting fucked because you are an ignorant indian who doesn't want to get with the program and adapt to the new "mexican" order.

When will japan get rid of the invasor gaijins and their mutts?

>, you are getting fucked because you are an ignorant indian who doesn't want to get with the program and adapt to the new "mexican" order

Yeah this, It was get with the program or get fucked

Japan is not racism country. That is korea

Ironically the "mexican order" is being a shitty extraction colony just like the rest of latin america

pretty much that was my point. The new order didn't change much. The ones that tried to adapt and remove themselves from their culture where still being treated like shit because the old order set up by the spanish was pretty prevalent, they just change the name of it from racism to assimilation.
