Ok, subcontinentaloids. Dad wants me to get a motorcycle license for real and buy my own motorcycle for use here at uni next year.
Recommend me some good starter motorcycles, my dad has a 750cc (iirc) Honda Shadow from the 90s but he doesn't want me to ride it and crash or get speeding tickets. For reference, I am 6'1" if that helps things. Looking for any kind of bike that I can use both for riding from Dallas to Austin once every few months, but almost entirely around the Austin metro area (city driving). Completely new to this, so please help.
Preferably something within the $4000-$5000 range new, with good fuel economy.
