what's it like living in a giant block of stone? looks pretty cool
Post interesting international house finds
like how old is this ceiling? would look incredible with a bit of cleaning
good thread
check out this these houses are from 900 AD
would be considered sacrilege to pressure wash the hell out of a building like that?
>IHS
are you buying a decrepit church or monk house ?
I don't think so although may Italy can say
>85k euros for this
what's IHS? its a hilltop apartment. maybe it was at one point
2 bedroom 1 bath. nice view
are you saying that's good or bad?
What are houses with this type of interior called? I want one.
iesus hominum salvator
Just get one of those 1 euro houses
Comfy
How? And what’s the catch besides them being isolated
the deal breaker is that these comfy fixer-uppers are always in dogshit neighborhoods or in the middle of nowhere. otherwise somebody would have already fixed it because living in a renovated historic building is top CONSOOM
The Italian government wanted foreigners to come live in small towns to bring up the economy, so they were selling homes to them for 1 euro with the stipulation that they had to live there for a certain amount of time.
that is a pretty huge catch
It's the Jesuits emblem
You have to pay for renovation of the building
you have to apply for it, they are seeking wealthy foreigners to come stimulate the economy. but most people with such money don't want to live in some rural shithole
What about those houses sub €20,000? Like 5, 10,000 ones. Same situation?
No, you won't be obliged to do it outside of the specific program
Those are just abandoned
the whole entire village abandoned? 16 rooms lol that's just crazy
i can imagine a village filled with italian americans who speak english despite being in italy lol
Some are, but that seems suspiciously low
i aint paying shit until its renovated
