Well, it depends on which scene. For Melee not much crazy shit happened, that guy that fucked his mom is just a very good player now (who fucked his mom). For the Brawl/Smash 4/Ultimate community a bunch of the top players ended up being pedos.

He lied about the *details* about the sex he actually, truthfully had with his mom, to make it sound more like he was raped by her rather than a willing participant. Despite this, his friends still reacted as though he did it willfully and did not sympathize with him.
