You know how recruits are yelled at by drill sergeants in boot camps? That's the most important part of the training. All the drills they do are just for show, if someone yells at them in soldierspeak for long enough their brain assimilates the patterns and they become a soldier.

Basically you learn more by listening and reading and watching than you do from endless exercises and drills and studying. Like how a baby learns. To some extent it's true but I think it's a bit of a meme on this board. I have had hours of Spanish input and I still don't know how to form conditional sentences, I need to study that.

I'm out of Russian music again. I've listened to everything good I've found on repeat so many times that it's stale. I need more.

My name is Minghua Li. >Yuemei : This is Mr. Wang. >Kaiwen : Hi, my surname is Wang. My first name is Kaiwen. >Minghua : How are you? Welcome to Taiwan. Entschuldigen mir, sind Sie Fraulein Chen Yuemei? Ja. Danke, dass Sie haben uns getroffen kommen. Es macht nichts. Ich bin Minghua Li. Er ist Herr Wang. Gruß, mein Familienname ist Wang. Mein Vorname ist Kaiwen. Wie geht es euch/Ihnen? Willkommen nach Taiwan.

(2) >Please have some tea. >Thank you. This tastes good. May I ask what kind of tea this is? >This is Oolong tea. Taiwanese like to drink tea. >Kaiwen, how about you Japanese people? >He is not Japanese. >I am sorry. Which country are you from? >I am American. >Kaiwen, would you like to drink coffee? >Thank you. I don't drink coffee. I like to drink tea. Bitte nehmen Sie etwas Tee. Danke. Es schmeckt gut. Ich wolle fragen, welcher Tee ist es? Es ist Oolong Tee. Die Taiwaner trinken gern Tee. Kaiwen, trinkt ihr Japaner (If it were honourary, would it be "trinken Sie Japaner"?) auch gern Tee? Er ist kein Japaner. Entschuldigen mir. Welches Land kommst du (kommen Sie) aus? Ich bin Amerikaner. Kaiwen, willst du Kaffee trinken? Danke, ich trinke keinen Kaffee. Ich trinke gern Tee.

Yes, these are the first two dialogues. I did not expect someone to notice.
