Correct me if Im wrong but it seems like french always had that problem even with other euros. Even brits and germans who dislike immigrants are okay to the ones who arent criminals and are nice, but french always have friction with others, even other french it seems

That is a shame, I don't blame people for being annoyed by immigrants because its very understandable but not giving the ones who are actually upstanding people a chance is unneeded

I think is about too much national pride. Lots of people hate but is a nice country in the end. In some senses people envy france but at the same time hate it bcs french people are too proudo of it.

We spaniards hate the frenchs when we don't hate the brits, but yes in Europe i would say the france is kinda hated everywhere

I was surprised to see how much spanish heritage was still in USA (half of usa was at some point under the spanish crown). Especially in miami and some parts of texas where some people speak a kind of spanish that was preserved from the initial settlers. Be proud of your history user, don't back up

I'm Austrian, everyone hates me. Hungarians, Czechs, Italians, yugos seethe because Austrian Empire. Russians seethe because Crimean and ww1. Turks seethe because 1683 end of Ottoman expansion in Europe. North Germans seethe because of inferior culture and we effectively genocide their language. French seethe because battle of the nations of Leipzig were we destroyed Napoleon's empire. Poles seethe because polish partitions.
We ended or helped in the end of these major empires: Ottoman, French, Russian, German, British
