I don't understand why it's the paranoid and anti-government types that eschew masks. Automatic facial scanning software is used widely by the govt in China and widely by corporations that contract to the government in the West. Masks are an ideal way to slow or prevent the automatic scanning of your identity, that they should become fashionable and necessary seems like a benefit to the paranoid and anti-govt minded. It's strange to see the anti-mask sentiments here on 4chin, given we're all obfuscating our identities to some degree by posting in this format.
