in my case its not also if u go and just walk in skopje and then thessaloniki you will see its not the same race. anyways in my case my family (greek) was coming from monastiri which back in the day had a big greek presence but when the army liberated thessaloniki instead the greeks living there had a choice of going back to the greek state or staying there some when back some stayed and they all did it out of interest (who gets the more gibbs) . I have relatives in N. Macedonia from my grandmas side and they are butthurt because greeks are living better lifes (more money). It really is complicated.
