I have a terrible headache so I’ll keep this short. So basically in Islam there is a belief that all prophets (124 thousand of them) brought legit religions they were all corrupted in time. You have to regard all prophets as legit as Mohammad and believe in their original religion (which has been lost) and the Islam is the correction of them and the last one.
