I've felt like this my whole life. I wanted to leave the UK at age 7 or 8. By 10 I decided I'd probably feel most at home in the US. At 24, I still feel the exact same way. I will never like this country, I've just accepted it. I was literally "born in the wrong country".

That's complete and total bullshit. Privately educated and middle/upper class people have an absolute strangehold on government, culture, the arts and any remotely elite profession in the UK. There's nothing even comparable in the US.
