We actually have better ammo. The military only uses hard ball FMJ. Full auto is not useful especially not for ranged firefights and is a moot consideration despite the memes. In the US our soldiers are largely unideological, and pulled from the lowest and least educated sectors of the country, ensuring their apoliticization.
