Because the some of the most stable societies and prosperous societies in the world are monarchies. Apart from the ones that have royals mostly as figureheads you still have Monaco and Liechtenstein. And the Vatican, backed by a globally growing population, if you count non-hereditary monarchies. People who are secure and confortable are unlikely to pursue radical structural changes.

All of your examples are micro-nations that are smaller than most cities and make their money by offering tax havens to multi-national corporations (or they are the fucking Vatican, which has no right even being it's own country).

Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Morocco and especially Oman are all stable.
Most monarchies fell after a world war and it wasn't really a complete "natural" fall.
And republics have fallen into civil war such as your country or been couped and turned into dictatorships multiple times in history.
I don't know which is better overall and it might be a impossible question to answer, but imo it depends on the country and it's circumstances.
