It's a flaw of Arabic probably, to my knowledge if arabs do not know the gender of theadressee and things that are genderless then they defaultly use masculine pronoun.

I think it's a lot easier to find happiness and fulfillment with religion than without. I don't think it's impossible to live happy without religion (e.g. absurdism, etc) but it's certainly more difficult to find that meaning that religion gives. Though i can only speak of christianity as I'm only familiar with that. Not sure of the long nose tribe or islam
