My impression of the Brazilian states. How correct am I?
>Acre
Latex plantations, rainforest, aliens
>Amazonas
Rainforest, I don't actually have an impression of Manaus and don't know if it's a shithole
>Roraima
Deforestation and timber industry
>Rondonia
Same as above
>Para
Exact same as Amazonas but Belem instead of Manaus
>Amapa
I don't know anything about this state besides the largest national park in the country (Tumacumaque) is there
>Tocantins
I usually think of it as kind of a swamp-grassland-rainforest mix? Newest state
>Goias
Nuclear disasters, plains, and bandeirantes
>Mato Grosso
Large scale version of Roraima and Rondonia
>Mato Grosso do Sul
Same as Tocantins but without the rainforest and with more swamps, ranching and stuff
>Maranhao
Super dangerous even for BR standards, Jose Sarney, nature is similar to Tocantins
>Piaui
Same as Maranhao but without high crime rates or big cities
>Ceara
>RG do Norte
>Paraiba
>Pernambuco
Each has one large metropolitan area, mainly semi arid landscape with fruit plantations, the better states of the northeast
>Alagoas
Crime ridden shithole, same landscape as the above
>Sergipe
Beaches and old colonial towns
>Bahia
West is similar to Tocantins, east is old colonial towns and black people living in typical coastal landscape
>Espirito Santo
Basically mini coastal Bahia, but smaller, whiter, and less crime
>Rio de Janeiro
City itself is a shithole, I don't know anything about the surroundings and the smaller cities (Campos, Petropolis, Volta Redonda, etc) except that Paraty was the main port for Ouro Preto
>Minas Gerais
Mining state, half of coffee and milk politics long ago, nice grassland nature
>Sao Paulo
The other half of coffee and milk politics, has quite a few large cities (that I don't know anything about, like Ribeirao Preto, Sorocaba, Campinas) but they're dwarfed by SP metro area, most developed state
>RG do Sul
>SC
>Parana
Same as SP but smaller cities, don't know much about them, fairly developed

You know more than I do.

Hello autism my old friend

>latex plantations
doesn't exist since the smuggling of rubber seeds from brazil to asia by brits
>timber industry
brazil has no timber industry, deforestation is illegal outside replanting areas

>practically skipping the SOVTH

Attached: 1602165294151.png (694x532, 773.76K)

Typing that out I actually realised I barely know anything about the three southern states except for maybe the 5-10 biggest cities of each. I don't know what the industry or culture there is like

south brazil (the tradionally defined region) is shit

Attached: Sem título.png (482x673, 62.95K)

This is outdated as fuck, PR has the best sewer system coverage behind DF now.

South is still worse than Sao Paulo

the best is the south just because it has fewer monkeys.

untrue it's just backward ass whites not worth anything

Espírito Santo has more to do with Minas Gerais and countryside Rio de Janeiro than Bahia. Well, except for the northern part and the southern tip of Bahia which is basically an extension of Espírito Santo anyway.

Pará has an important mining sector, as well as agriculture.

Why do you know so much btw?

Coastal SC is hands down the best place to live here.

Geog autism I know the administrative divisions of the vast majority of the world's countries but I'm particularly interested in Brazil (it's my sixth best country in terms of municipal geog behind USA, UK, Germany, China, and India)

Uncultured swines. Ralé da Europa que se prende ao continente de onde foram descartados pra se sentir superior ao resto.

Nice. I have slight geog autism too but I still got to delve deeper into it. Do you suggest anything besides wikipedia? I'm really interested in knowing more about India.

I do have some sites for memorising the respective provinces but to learn about their culture/what people think of them etc I just use Wikipedia and talk to people on here mainly
India is really diverse. Start with learning the linguistic map (the tribal areas in the east and a lot of the himalayas are a bit complicated in this regard so just ignore them)

The Carioca is a Baiano whom leave the hammock to steal.

>Latex plantations, rainforest, aliens
Correct
>Rainforest, I don't actually have an impression of Manaus and don't know if it's a shithole
Rainforest and rivers. Manaus is a shithole
>Deforestation and timber industry
Meh there's more deforestation down south. Roraima is mostly Boa Vista and the indians, besides the Venezuelans. Illegal mining must be more important here than timber.
>Same as above
Correct.
>Exact same as Amazonas but Belem instead of Manaus
Pará is more populated and there are many cities besides Belém.
>I don't know anything about this state besides the largest national park in the country (Tumacumaque) is there
It was a "guiana". The French claimed Amapá and invaded it once.
>I usually think of it as kind of a swamp-grassland-rainforest mix? Newest state
Grasslands and rainforest.
>Nuclear disasters, plains, and bandeirantes
Correct.
>Large scale version of Roraima and Rondonia
Correct.
>Same as Tocantins but without the rainforest and with more swamps, ranching and stuff
It's more similar to Goiás.
>Super dangerous even for BR standards, Jose Sarney, nature is similar to Tocantins
Only the south is similar. Maranhão used to be part of the north with Grão-Pará.
>Same as Maranhao but without high crime rates or big cities
Correct. But Piauí is somewhat more civilized.
>Each has one large metropolitan area, mainly semi arid landscape with fruit plantations, the better states of the northeast
They are very distinct from each other. Paraíba and RGN aren't that good.
>Crime ridden shithole, same landscape as the above
Correct.
>Beaches and old colonial towns
Correct but that's a description for all of the northeastern coast.
>West is similar to Tocantins, east is old colonial towns and black people living in typical coastal landscape
Western Bahia is arid and more similar to the northern and southern bordering states.

>Basically mini coastal Bahia, but smaller, whiter, and less crime
ES is more similar to Rio if I'm not mistaken.
>City itself is a shithole, I don't know anything about the surroundings and the smaller cities (Campos, Petropolis, Volta Redonda, etc) except that Paraty was the main port for Ouro Preto
Correct. It's a rich shithole like Los Angeles but the surrounding cities are better.
>Mining state, half of coffee and milk politics long ago, nice grassland nature
Correct.
>The other half of coffee and milk politics, has quite a few large cities (that I don't know anything about, like Ribeirao Preto, Sorocaba, Campinas) but they're dwarfed by SP metro area, most developed state
Correct.
>Same as SP but smaller cities, don't know much about them, fairly developed.
Wrong. Southern states are distinct from São Paulo, although they're relatively developed.

Thanks, care to tell me more about o sul

Rio Grande do Sul is strongly influenced by the Hispanic platine world.

Manaus is a shithole because all qt kuruminhas are gone, fuck this place

Will do! Might make a similar post one day. Thx m8

Brazil is a shithole outside the few km's in the main cities where the elite lives.

The first settlers in Rio Grande do Sul were Spanish Jesuits who converted the "Seven Peoples of the Missions". They colonized the region of the "Misiones Orientales" (stressed in purple), which was province of the Viceroyalty of the Plate until Portugal conquered it in 1801. Portugal became worried about the vast unsettled territory of the "Continente de São Pedro do Rio Grande do Sul" and started sending Azorean families in the 18th century. Due to the fact that entire families went to the south a distinct pattern of colonization appeared, more similar to the US. Miscegenation wasn't as prominent as in the rest of Brazil.

A society of militarized cattle raisers developed, encouraged by the need to the defend the Portuguese territories from the immediate threat of the platine Viceroyalty. There were many intermarriages between the Portuguese and the Spaniards, creating a distinct Iberian culture with native influences. Later in the 19th century the government promoted the immigration of Italians and Germans, and Slavs to a lesser extent. These new immigrants settled in the northern "serra" (highlands), and developed a distinct culture and an economy focused on free labour and agriculture. The Germans brought Lutheranism to Brazil.

This is false.

>Pooptuguese posters in a perpetual state of seethe
Who hurt them?

Redpill me on Minas

What's there to redpill about? Just avoid the north and the blue areas in general, the small towns are obviously the best ones, no crime and comfy architecture.

north minas= SHIT
south minas= good

Well, you seem to know your americas very well, britfriend. Have you ever been to argentina y brazil?

Thats it? Thanks then

Nevermind, I've only just read the messages.
Seems like a sperg, or memory palace. Which one?
