the nyland brigade is the only garrison where the command language is swedish, so mostly its fennoswedes whose mother tongue is swedish though its not a requirement. They train coastal jaegers who are a pretty tough bunch apparently and they operate in the archipelago

Sweden has a long history of producing jets. Currently they use the JAS Gripen.
Finland has American F-18 Hornet. Though we are going to buy new jets in during this next decade and the Gripen is one candidate.
