The European lifestyle would seem poor to the majority of Americans. When I was in Germany I thought it was like traveling back in time to 20 years ago. You had to use cash in a majority of places, you had to buy your own fucking oven when renting an apartment, everything ran late, there was litter all over the city especially the closer you got to public areas, people were smoking everywhere, and I could swear half the population was still using flip phones.
And then in Norway it was more like 40 years ago (except for the Teslas). If you took the average European lifestyle and forced an American to live it they would think it was a punishment. I am not trying to bash on anything I am just simply stating my perception of the wealthy European lifestyle. I cannot even imagine what a rural southern European is living like if that's the peak of Europe.
meanwhile nowadays America is still the only western country I have ever been to where contactless doesnt work, and I had to sign my name and use chip & pin for every transaction

arent you niggas still using checks? i've never seen one in my life and i'm 30
Isaiah Edwards
>Germany yea what did you expect
James Campbell
No shit American would die after having to walk to the shops and not drive.
Noah Wood
I only pay in cash or bitcoin
Ethan Reyes
Still though, I'd rather live in the stone age than be American.
If it's a new-build you're fucked. You'll have to buy the kitchen and then sell it to the next person moving in or taking if with you (which is something almost no one does). I moved into a new-build once. Will never do that again, too much work.
Jordan Wright
That’s some of the most autistic shit I ever heard. Wow.
Nathan Gonzalez
I live in Florida with some of the greatest economic disparity and I can say that there's people here who live an out right third world life (I say this as someone who has some basic knowledge about economics and has been to the third world), with entire towns of thousands of people being poor, while in other areas there are entire towns of thousands of people who literally all have mansions or 1m+ houses. That is to say we have some of the poorest people in the first world and some of the richest, not just as individuals but entire communities
Unironically, what's wrong with this? What if I have my own fridge and I don't want to pay daddy landlord extra?
Zachary Wilson
you have to thank the landlord for his service
Hudson Hill
you don't pay extra for the fridge wtf it's something that it's obvious a flat should have like a toilet
Joshua Johnson
I'm 99% certain it is. Even if you have a good job (I'm a med student) and "make it" you can never escape all the little things which indicate you're living in a poorer country.
For example with houses even if you buy a multimillion pound mansion it is going to look like shit inside simply cause the builders are used to making cheap shit for normal people who can't afford anything better. Just a few things in mutt architecture which are extremely rare in the UK are high ceilings, modern looking windows, little holes in the wall in the bathroom for shower gel (in the UK it hangs on the shower and falls off constantly), stone floors in the shower instead of a plastic tray etc
Plenty of stuff comes here considerably after it is released in the USA as well
Ryan Williams
>You had to use cash in a majority of places, Lol what is this larp? Most places in America still don't even support NFC payment
What's the problem?
Gavin Powell

Germans are just a disgrace to the Germanic people. Their trains are almost never on time and often just get cancelled or then there is a strike or their infrastructure just fails. In general they are untidy and unpunctual, inefficient in their organisation and generally lazy workers. There are exceptions, but all in all their country is in a dismal state.

>partially furnished apartment >sorry Hans you need to buy an oven and fridge but here is an ikea table for you
do Germs really do this
Kevin Garcia
Idk about all that specifically but I had kind of a similar experience in Europe.
Jason Morris
>I'm an arrogant Swiss faggot blablabla the usual
Tyler Jackson
I have also been to third world and I’ve traveled all over some of the poorest areas of Appalachia and the Deep South. I can’t agree that it’s exactly third world conditions (these people still have clean water for the most part) but it’s true that there are people living pretty close. There are homes in Appalachia that actually have dirt floors. Where you’re totally fucking wrong is that these people are the poorest people in the world. They’re not. Not even close.
Jose Clark
If I may ask, OP, is this something that is applicable to the entirety of the 50 States, or only to the State (or city) in which have lived in?
Jason James
every morning i whatsapp a girl from cologne she tells me she is late and her train stopped because another train has to pass them
David Hill
>gets imformed his fucking trains are running late >no reply, just ad hominem >REEEEEE, you're so arrogant Deutsche Bahn is dead fucking last. SBB, ÖBB and even the Dutch are better. For fucks sake, even the Italians have a better rail service than Germany. Humiliating!
Robert Harris
Did you ever rent an apartment?
Justin Gomez
yeah, in Europe there's much more redistribution than in the US so if you're poor you're probably better off here and if you're wealthy you're better off in the US for middle class probably usually better off in the US too
James Parker
What does that have to do with renting? You pay everything by internet bank not some paper checks.
