Why did the world pick soccer for their sport? It’s literally the most boring shit on earth.
Why did the world pick soccer for their sport? It’s literally the most boring shit on earth
its cheap (requires only a ball), playable anywhere and easy to learn
I find it much more exciting than Baseball and US Football
Soccer and Basketball are both fun to watch
So is basketball, an infinitely less boring sport.
You can go to a field or alleyway and set down two jackets for a goal, while for basketball you actually have to go and find a hoop or buy one
but that's for niggers
?
basketball requires there being hoops, solid ground so that the ball can bounce. Football can be played on practically any soil and and any trivial item can function as a makeshift goalpost.
basketball is fun as fuck to play but pretty boring to watch if you ask me
genes matter to much in bbal if you arent a 2m tall jacked BBC you have almost no chance.
everyone can play soccer even women
Never seen a basketball game when I didnt regret not just turning in in the 4th quarter
fact is majority of humans cannot become great at basketball by limited conditions in which they are born. Average man is 177cm and that's shit for basketball, even if you train all your life, unless you really have insane superhuman talent and jumping ability.
meanwhile football is for everyone, or at least for the normal sized humans. To become good you need to develop skills, which can be learned via training. Combine skills with a bit of talent and you can make a living out of it. Not the same can be said for basketball
tltr: basketball requires super rare insane genetic predispositions, while football doesn't and is more suited for the normal man
No pauses means no commercials. I don't watch any sports but my boomer parents love watching big soccer games more and more whenever they are available, simply because things are always happening without stopping for a shit commercial every ten seconds.
finally, americans like big black things so obviously they watch sports in which they can see more of that they love, e.g. basketball and american football
the rest of the world is not wimpy chubby cuck pale bois, so they prefer a sport for the sake of the sport and its beauty, e.g. football
Funny how cricket is boring to play but super interesting to watch.
I think what turns people off the most about soccer here is the constant diving and pretending your hurt when you really aren't. It's generally what people think of when you bring up the sport. Mixed in with the fact the two biggest sports in Canada are primarily ice hockey, and american football which are very physical contact heavy sports it just appears weak. I also hate how players swarm the refs over calls they don't like and will seen curse them out, just looks bad really. Alos having games that go 90 minutes long to end 0-0 or 1-0 where the team's average less than 10 shots a game sometimes
I've always found it bizarre how Americans make a big deal out of the fucking Superbowl commercials
I heard more about the commercials than the actual matches
Dude your sport is literally played by some of the weakest and most feminine men in pro sports
>It’s literally the most boring shit on earth.
That can't be true while baseball still exists.
Nah, to have a good time you don't need to be a 2 meters tall nigger. Anybody can play, and if your height is higher than 185 cm is quite easy to even hang from the hoop. (On the other hand, jumping like a nigger, holding it with both hands, and not falling on your ass, is a different matter).
>The sports i watch? Womens beach volley ball
Baseball exists
No it's not. It's boring.
>It’s literally the most boring shit on earth.
No, baseball, cricket, curling, etc. Are all much more boring. The only thing I really hate about it is the trend of being an adult athlete and pretending that a man 7 feet away from you tripped you and your mortally wounded.
0-0 is the patrician score
Soccer players are very unimpressive atheltheiclly. Ronaldo supposdly has a 30 inch vertical which would have him as one of the worst jumping ability in the NFL, Ryan Fitzpatrick is an unatheltic qb and even he has a 33 inch vertical. Ronaldo also has a 40 yard dash time around 4.6 seconds which is incredibly slow for someone who only weighs around 190lbs.
Yeah soccer is very skilled but let's be real the guys who play it look like nerds. Rugby players get absoulty mogged by guys in the NFL if we compare size and lifting stats as well
None of those things are well liked among fans. In particular diving is really hated and some players like Neymar are notorious for it to the point people always hopes someone kicks him into a coma.
I understand how it can put people used to high score lines high intensity off but to football fans a game can always be either a bore fest or amazingly tense and talked about for years.
>I watch sports to see big, muscular, strong men
That sounds gay
>using your hands to hold the ball
>fun or challenging
Kek
Even I, a sendetary incel, know that
the english spread it and then proceeded to get fucking stomped by everyone else in the world
Football is a very skill reliant sport which still allows for more physical players to use their strength to their advantage without becoming a meatgrinder like American Football.
>Ronaldo also has a 40 yard dash time around 4.6 seconds
Holy shit the NFL cutoff is 4.5 seconds and the best are around 4.2 seconds and we're talking well over 200 lbs, Bo Jackson supposedly did 4.13 at 227 lbs.
>Muh niggers jumping like monkeys!!!
lol shut the fuck up bubba
NFL players are supposed to be explosive, association football players are supposed to run for 90 minutes without having a heart attack
Yeah pretty sad, they also started rugby and our version of football which they don't even play.
most of the "action" in football (soccer) is pretty boring though
rugby is far better
That's not Ronaldo best speed, though. It was measured in a sprint around the end of a match.
>not built like gorillas
>WOW SOOOOO FEMININE!!!!!
i agree
They should really start to implement stopping time when ball is out of play and have a match last 70 minutes. It annoys me to no end how a 90 minute low stakes match has 80 minutes of actual play while a high stakes world cup game has maybe 65 minutes.
>Rugby is better
I disagree rugby is very fun to play but not fun to watch. Maybe it's changed a lot since I've followed but the scrums were really killing the game to the point where it was nearly unwatchable. Also not enough tries. Once a team would get a penalty in the opposing half they would nearly always elect for a kick at goal. You'd have games where a team with maybe have one try to four or five penalty goals
Blame tiki taka and bus parking
It's accessible so most euros play it when they're kids.
peak s0-0ul
Even in the English championship where they can't string together 3 passes most of the game is just messing up balls.
It requires elite cardio, great foot speed and finesse.
But i can see what you mean, you really can't get dabbed on by a 2m guy in football, at low level physical ability don't play a great role.
>random sports related question
>americans chimes in
>NOOOOOO I ONLY WANNA SEE BLACK MEN
>canadian chimes in
>NOOOOOO I ONLY GET OFF TO SEEING SWEATY MUSCULAR MEN
They are english, what did you expect
>Why yes, I exclusively watch women's sports. How can you tell?
>team sports
I cringe
>solo sports
Based, get on my level and stop getting carried irl
Football is a sport of skill. Your NFL players would get tired in under 10 minutes in football whereas most football players can easily play for 90 minutes.
Solo sports are boring as fuck for the most part and very predictable because of how few variables there are.
What sports do you like?
>football
>no black men
EPL, French national team, etc are full of them
Yeah but football fans don't use "strong black men" as an argument of why they like football
This is going to change very soon
