Xavier Nelson
Expected France, UK and Japan to be higher. At least on par with Germany
Colton Young
I personally felt the average Japanese person was richer than the average Brit when I visited. I think it's just because housing costs are completely fucked here.
Jackson Brown
Samuel Miller
>I suffer in Hong Kong
Why are Hong Kuckies always whining?
Sebastian Gutierrez
seriously, what's wrong with Japan? It was the pinnacle of development in the 1990s, everyone wanted his country to be like Japan and now it feels it's almost forgotten and irrelevant, everyone cares about China now
Samuel Wood

America did it again

Connor Cooper

Jaxson Gutierrez
The EU and €.
Kevin Fisher
Japanese people have to die. And by that, I mean the old 70-90 boomers. Once they're dead, Japan will have 80 million people instead of 120 million.
Cheaper houses, more income, less taxes paid. it's better all around if more old Japs died. Which is why the government should really just ignore the coronavirus and have it do its thing.
Luke Myers
how does an average Paddy profit from such high GDP per capita? do you even feel you're so wealthy? do you feel wealthier than British people for instance? is it common for Irish Americans to move to Ireland because it's so much better than America nowadays?
Tyler Price
we already did in terms of PPP
but it will take another decade to finally catch up with japan for everything
Parker Nelson
Nominal GDP
Luis Kelly
They are afraid to be robbed of "america namba1" place by other country.

Xavier Miller
American taxpayers send 4 billion dollars to Israel every year, no strings attached
Joseph Ward
They can't.
Because SK population decline is worst in the world.
Nolan Gonzalez
But they have cheap box apartments too right? There is no cheap housing in the UK unless you live on a hill in the middle of no where.
Asher Torres
being american colony is not good too.
Grayson Collins
>everyone cares about China now
China is huge and has a lot of room to grow. Japan on the other hand reached its peak in the 90s. It's population is already declining very fast so you can't really expect much growth from them. It's a miracle their gdp is not declining as well. Japan will continue to be a way better place to live than China in the foreseeable future though. That's for sure
Blake Rogers
>"hurdurdur we don't need an ever increasing population to support our economic model dude robots lol look at Japan"
>Japan has been stagnating shit since the 90s
>"......"
Thomas Morris
your per capita GDP can grow even if your population and GDP overall decreases
why do they leave if they're so rich and have all these international companies
still infintely better than being a Chinese one
Isaiah Edwards
we're talking about per capita
Robert Collins
Partly a lazy culture where the average Frenchman/Englishman doesn't see much interest in pursuing a better carreer prospect since NEETing is liveable
Meanwhile MENA and Asian students are always motivated to get better and compete for good schools.
Socialism made doing business in France hard.
Globalisation meant factories will be built where there is both brains and cheap labour, which is the case for MENA and Asia
Cameron Cooper
TOP 40
Evan Cox
Middle East is one of the big losers of the globalisation together with Latam. Nobody buys anything but raw resources from them. They don't actually develop like Asia does.
Jose Taylor
>Chinese economy is the same size as Europe
>Chinese gdp per capita is Russia tier
we're so fucked bros
Juan Hughes
Ireland is really good on paper actually.
Aiden Morris
brown immigration
Hunter Ortiz
They headquarter there for tax reasons but most of their employees are elsewhere. Apple has 6000 employees total in Ireland and that probably includes lots of jobs like shop staff.
Mason Thomas
>pee is better than poo logic
I don't want both.
just want to keep distance to both of shit.
David Diaz
This.
At least we can be a giant farm, /mena/ will have to invest in /STEM/ education (like israel) so they can improve their quality of life.
Juan Roberts
>spain
yikes
Grayson Morales
How do you mean we're fucked? China is a nation of 1 billion + with on average very productive people (even if you dislike them).
It's only inevitable they will become the biggest economy in the world.
Ethan Williams
you're not in the top 20, your opinion is irrelevant.
Jayden Ramirez
Nobody buys anything but raw resources from us either but the key is to create a functioning service economy with your profits so you don't live in an ooga booga banana republic, which is the part MENA and LATAM failed at
Adrian Rivera
China's workforce has basically peaked in size right now, though they will get more productive still by continuing urbanization.
