>american sweets greasy, overly sweet, sloppily dressed, carelessly thrown into a box
>japanese sweets totally no grease, mildly sweet (just right), delicately made with care, so pretty its almost a shame to eat it
why is this the case? is it an american thing to have total disregard for aesthetics? or do people here just dont appreciate such things?
i really wish i was back in japan

I've been to Japan and their sweets are absolutely atrocious. So are American by European standards, but Japanese are even worse. Chocolate especially in both countries is inedible.

What, milk chocolate? All chocolate brands I have ever had taste roughly the same by type. Maybe you should have tried dark.

It's true that the Japanese don't do much to decorate their food. So I was content to use a variety of dinnerware.
