Do you have any existing language knowledge outside English? If no then consider the following:
Spanish - applicable to walking around life in America, unlike most options, also very logical and consistent. Zig Forums is racist but Spanish is a great language.
French - very rewarding to learn if you enjoy language for its own sake because of its rather unique relationship to English, also widespread in the world, French is a god tier choice
Persian - because I just started learning it and I rarely see anyone using it on Zig Forums which is lame. No other reason really but it's fun so far.

I have family in Quebec, so French is the most logical choice, but Germanic languages and Japanese also interest (and also Finnish, but it's a useless language that would be for fun).

I've heard that german and scandinavian languages are easier for english native speakers. Spanish lets you visit lots of countries, also French.

I don't think any language is useless really, even though of course I understand your meaning. Are you attracted to Finnish because you would like to live there? Because then it's not so useless anymore lol. And if you have family in Quebec then throw that on my other reasons and I think you should totally do French. The /fr/ language general on here is pretty fun for shitposting practice 24/7 or at least I think the French posters on here are some of the funnier ones so I enjoy it.

Depends on what are your purposes. If you want a super useful language for job opportunities then learn spanish or chinese, otherwise go learn the language that has the culture you like the most
