Does anyone know a good app or web based program for beginner level Persian? I'm taking it at school and my teacher is pretty good but she hasn't totally mastered the online thing and I could just use a little supplemental practice for repetition and retention and vocab building. Duolingo would be perfect for my needs (even though I don't recommend it as a primary learning tool) but they don't have Persian.

This thread is good. I think that this will work. I'm changing some things, but forgive me. I need more time (lit. more moons), but it will work! I might transform long vowels of ä/ï/ë/etc into dipthongs/digraphs, i.e. ü becoming "oe" or /u/

Fwiw, yeah -- you can place any verb/subject/object at the first part of the sentence to put stress/emphasize it, so it can lead to SVO, VSO, OSV. other variations should be fine, but I think I'd be a bit weird to have SOV, unless you just want to not have the verb be important(..?)

Is it goofy to come to these threads if you're learning a dead historical language? I've popped in a few times to participate in the challenges but there's rarely any further discussion to be had because barely anyway else coming to these threads knows the language.
