Face it Pierre, europe would be a war torn authoritarian shithole without us looking out for you. Yeah we're not perfect, but all in all we are the world's protector and savior. We get our hands dirty so the rest of the civilized world can stay clean, and we accept the criticism that comes with it. Think of all the scientific, technological, and artistic advancement that has emerged out of america in it's relatively short 250 year existence. It's enough to match all of europe's 2000+ years of existence. While Europe was still squabbling over plots of land and butchering each other by the thousands, we were building cities, wondrous machines, and infrastructure until we eventually overtook everyone else in a few decades. Now that I think about it, I would seethe too. If the small colony that I disregarded as a mere geopolitical/financial interest becomes my boss, I would be jealous too. But don't worry, we still respect you guys, you laid out the basis for everything (including our success) and we thank you for that. But as usual, we had to clean it up and refine it :)

Yeah you seemed to managing just fine in the 20th century. Let me see; massive economic depression, nationwide rioting, two world wars, conquered by the Germans and let your people be genocided. And then after all that, we paid for your cities to be rebuilt and for your country to go back to the status it was before, even though you happily collaborated with the Nazis. We established world peace and created world organizations that fostered humanitarianism and preventing further conflict. And then, even after all THAT, we funded your military and protected all of you to make sure you didn't become a soviet commie block shithole.
