Yes, we tend to be quite negative about our country. But that's probably one reason why we're so developed, we're never happy. In a way, it can be seen as a feeling of superiority, because as soon as something isn't perfect we're like "It should be perfect! Even [shithole XY] does it better than we do (even if they don't) and it's not acceptable". We're not very patriotic in general, at least not in the way you'd expect. The average German is pretty realist.
