At my university, we are required to take one social justice class so I decided to pick a class about Asian Americans. For the final chapter, we are talking about Indians (or South Asians). I’m confused because we were required to read about Bangladesh, Pakis, AND Indians.

India, Pakistan, Bangladesh are all independent countries in South Asia, which is a region that also contains Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and sometimes Afghanistan/Myanmar since those were the outer extremities of the British Raj.

Pakistan: Muslim nation, more advanced than people give it credit for
Burma/Myanmar: Military dictatorship, doesn't use metric system
Bangladesh: Overpopulated Muslim Nation
India: The Great Satan, think of it as the USSR and Nazi Germany merged together. May it breakup USSR-style in my lifetime so that my Muslim/Sikh/Christian/Buddhist brothers and sisters are freed.
