Ok this is based
is this our contantinople?
I long for the vanished gardens of Córdoba
what about cartago or jerusalem?
This It’s Jerusalem, nobody gives a fuck about Al Andalus tbqh, and Jerusalem is much more real than Constaninople which is mostly an internet meme post-WW2 (it used to be real)
>cartago or jerusalem
muslims live in both
jerusalem, the real jerusalem (old one), is basically almost all muslim in 2020
>Unable to dominate the peninsula despite having an overwhelming superiority
>Unable to integrate minorities (no, christians were not happy in al andalus, that's why the north got repopulated with Christians that fled from the south)
>Let a few christian goatfuckers living in the relatively poor lands of North Duero gain territory
>Never achieved ethnic integration even between muslims, constant internal fights
>Never had a really solid government, only existed as long as it didn't have any external opposition
Just a reminder, the myth of Al-Andalus as a super advanced civilization didn't exist until the late XIX century, when european romantics from protestant countries constructed it
Spain you were great for a while. we know. But in order to acknowledge your former greatness, you don't have to underestimate others.
But you know Hernandez, in the Arab city of Córdoba were 2 miles of public lighting in the streets when London was a village
>>Unable to dominate the peninsula despite having an overwhelming superiority
12,000 berbers soldiers vs 7 millions iberians, that's not really what I call overwhelming superiority. Still dominated it for centuries tho
>>Unable to integrate minorities
The majority of iberia was islamic in the early 10th, before the first fitna
>>Let a few christian goatfuckers living in the relatively poor lands of North Duero gain territory
supported by an empire having ~40 millions people (franks), fighting against few thousands african dwellers
>>Never achieved ethnic integration even between muslims,
true, berber, arabs, iberian muslims always hated each others, the main reason of the decline
>>Never had a really solid government
the emirate/caliphate of cordoba, almoravide, almohad empire were exemple of very solid fovernment and administration
>the myth of Al-Andalus as a super advanced civilization didn't exist until the late XIX century
scientifically and culturally it was extremly advanced, this is factural
until the 21th internet/post 9/11 where some evangelist e-crusaders decided to be flat earth tier
thats not impressive tho, england was a shithole till some centuries later. Till the piracy years.
reconquista intensifies
Ta gueule Abdoul
reconquista is a meme period invented by christian histography
Al Andalus looked rougly the same in 720 ad, 980 ad and 1090 ad.
It collapsed brutally in the 1230-1270 period.

Je t'a pas donné l'autorisation de m'adresser la parole, remplacé.
Restore Alandalus
Earlier than that
> ~40 millions people (franks)
Are you sure about that?
for me is catholic spain.
Why do Ar*bs fetishize Al-Andalus so much bt cry about getting colonized in the 19th century and Israel? Seems hypocritical
>more english and germas than portus.
oh i see your taste for anglo dick cames from long ago.
Collapsed in 1000
>700s was conquest period
>800s unstable and full of revolts of Berbers against Arabs
>900s golden age
>1000s balkanization and irrelevance
Carolingian Empire had at least 20-30 millions at it's peak, with vassal lands included. Arabs and berbers in Iberia were at the very best around 150-180k, so outnumber massively by the 7 millions iberians natives.
Al Andalus was mostly moroccan states (almoravid, almohad etc.), it's not really related to the middle-east, it's the same moroccan state, from 780 to 2020, that massively supported the israeli military during their wars, and a quarter of israel is basically moroccan jews timesofisrael.com
AL-ANALSEX
Face it, Spain was prettier before the brown heathen conquered. They took that from us bros.
is this the only thing they managed to build or something? that ugly roof makes it look like a RTS stage 2 upgraded mudhut.
lol, what? even after the 1000s the almoravid retook all the taifas, controlled most of the peninsula directly and raided the non-pacified lands to make them tributarian.
It's part of our history try to embrace it and larp as andalusian instead of downplay it, trust me, it's better
Black people in my country think they were black, it’s actually pretty funny
historically is very interesting, very epic. And somehow (plus the discovery of americas) it resulted in the spanish golden age. IMO the peak of european arts and aesthetics.
The modern colonization and the british making up israel is souless as fuck.
What are you on about? those are real spanish people
it's honestly pretty sad considering how black slaves were treated in the maghreb or al andalus, we're talking about millions enslaved/castrated in the most brutal way.
Calling "al andalus" colonization or comparing it to any modern colonial empire is totally retarded. It was a medieval islamic state, it's absurd to even put both of those concepts in the same sentance.
Virtually all the rulers of al andalus were 95% white european genetically from 800 to 1490.
Honestly if anything that's the only time in history where iberian had powers over north africa.
The Reconquista was literally the biggest comeback in history. So big, they conquered the world just right after. Iberians are Chads, face it
Back tracking already? Also, when the muslims came the caliphate was still intact. From Tehran to Fez. They had about 10 times the population of the Franks.
Almoravids only delayed the inevitable. After 1000s they weren't hegemonic on the peninsula anymore, so we can really only talk about 200 years of a Muslim Spain. Andalusia held onto this tradition much longer tho
Based and Nafri. I want you to remember who you are and take back your rightful land.
>ywn be as Chad as bardem in jamon jamon

>Calling "al andalus" colonization or comparing it to any modern colonial empire is totally retarded.
true
Iberians were Chads.
And only for the short period when they were rightful catholics.
t. french cumsock
the reconquista was not a comeback stop this meme and it was not led by iberians in any way or shapes.
And you didn't conquer the world, stone age tribes living in a neolithic isolated place is pretty cringe.
I'm not back tracking? I was talking about the academic estimation of the population in the 8-9th.
The intial "conquest" of Iberia was the work of 12,000 mostly berbers soldiers, with 7,000 in support, in a 5-7 millions christian territory, profiting off the fall of the wizigoth and general confusion.
And the ummayad empire is pretty irrelevant in all of this, because of the berber revolt, Abd al-Rahman used this opportunity to create his own independant state (the emirate of corodoba 756–929) and secure al andalus for his own. It's pretty complex honestly.
>t. moroccan user
lmaoooooo
>The modern colonization
French colonization of Algeria was aesthetic. They saw themselves as re-romanizing northern africa
