Hardcore far right wingers think Islam is bad and evil. They will rarely say so in public but the prejudice is there. There is a reason why Turmp travel ban targeted mainly Muslim countries.

Normal people think Muslims are cool like everyone else, I even had a Muslim friend in high school. Unlike places like France, Muslims are free to be themselves and go to school with hijab on and oh look--our problems with Islamic terrorism are pretty much zero and Muslim earn about the natonal median! Its almost as if....

People online are vicious but really there’s way too many Muslims here.

I think india is one of the only few countries where people respect Islam but hate Muslims. Like, my mum. She’s a devout Hindu. When I made a joke about Allah she got pissed off, saying allah is god and I shouldn’t be shittalking God. But she shittalks Muslims all the time. Her supervisor at her workplace was Muslim and any time her promotion got rejected or something she would berate Muslims. But she would never berate Islam. I once asked her and she said, “My problem is not with Allah or Muhammad it is with Muslims.”
