Perhaps, but it's futile to think about it now. Still a bit sad.
Rhine is the natural German border tho
Let me guess: And the Elbe as well, right?
Bunch of larpers. Fuck em.
No, the Oder is fine
It's cool to know that there are this many people with German roots...
The Rhine flows through Germany, it is not a border but an artery
if i ever go on a rampage it will be in one of these counties for sure
>one of the most popular German nationalist songs is named "Watch on the Rhine"
>It's not a border river
they just watchin
Yes, and the song is about preventing this German river from falling under foreign occupation
Ah, how kind of you. But seriously, the Rhine being the German border... Aachen ain't French, sorry. And neither are Köln and Düsseldorf, or Bonn and Duisburg. Zero French influence. The Elsass however has German influence. It's okay if France has it, I don't mind, but it might as well be German (but that's what happens when you lose wars), but the Rhineland really isn't something to discuss about, it's German and that's it. Saying France should own the Rhineland and actually meaning it is at least as bad as your typical "le epic Großgermanium" fantasy (that by the way aren't from Germans in 99% of the cases) where Germany owns everything until the Ural mountains.
if it's a border river obviously it's not occupied by the other side
still it's fine as the FRA-GER border where Alsace is
also, I'm pretty sure you're that user who has a Silesian grandfather
>if it's a border river obviously it's not occupied by the other side
That's correct. And that's the reason why it's wrong to claim it is a border river.
in central texas they still speak a version of german :)
But IT IS a border river, Hans, whether you like it or not
It is only a border in french-occupied Alsace.
But in reality, the Rhine hasn't been a border since the 4th century.
>still it's fine as the FRA-GER border where Alsace is
Yes, that's fine, definitely. Never said it wasn't. But you said the Rhine is the border of Germany and I just wanted to make clear that France has no business in the Rhineland (which is a specific region above the Elsass).
> I'm pretty sure you're that user who has a Silesian grandfather
You are correct, heh. Are you the Polish user I talked to about the position of Silesia and the other East territories within the German Empire?
Well, the Oder hadn't been a border for like a thousand years before 1945...
That's correct, it's because the Oder is a river that flows through Germany as well.
>You are correct, heh. Are you the Polish user I talked to about the position of Silesia and the other East territories within the German Empire?
Yes. Autists are like magnets.
I can literally see Frankfurt from the Polish bank of the Oder lmaooo.
>I can literally see Frankfurt from the Polish bank of the Oder lmaooo.
How does it feel to live on German soil you have no connection to?
>Yes. Autists are like magnets.
So it seems. Nice to see ya again.

Pretty sure I have more connection to this land as a person born there than a random German from Hannover who has never even been here.
