Why not alaska or hawaii? Of your picks california has the best nature imo. The rockies and the four corners plateau are great of course, but california has the sierras, the cascades, the lost coast, the mojave, lake tahoe, mono lake, death valley, etc.

Reason being price - Alaska and Hawaii are top picks if the ticket prices weren't so fucking high.

if it helps i'd be staying exactly a week. i guess i'm looking for scenery, good food, activities like ziplining, skydiving, etc. just a fresh change from florida. i know you can find these in almost every state but i have a rare opportunity to vacation around december and i'd like to travel.
