Small apartments are fine, just be sure to train it to be clean and change its litterbox often. Also castrate it.

For the vet, if he stays indoor it should be fine to not vaccinate it and schedule a check up every two years or so

Do it man. My advice though is don’t get set on a specific type or breed. Just take one that you like and get along well with. I don’t like the purebred type, they are usually a lot dumber than street cat lineages

Just do it. I found my cat just by chance. I was in China walking behind a mall with a KFC and this janitor lady had a cat in there that gave birth and gave them all away except this one because it’s eye was fucked up. She was gonna throw her in a trash can before I came along. She’s a great cat, extremely intelligent and well behaved. Maybe you should just rescue one, you’ll feel better about yourself.
