no I've never heard of this. In fact when I started watching American movies I was confused about those public laundry places that Americans go to, because I just assumed every 1st and 2nd worlder had a laundry machine at home. Maybe in the poorest areas this is true, like social housing etc.

the city 86'd the dogs because they were killing people, but cats, chickens and to a lesser extent, pigs and goats run the streets at will across the gulf south. i guess dogs are social and adaptive enough survive in a harsh climate like that. city i'm in now lays poison for the rats, so there's no cats. it's weird to be out at night and see no cats lazing around, just dead quiet streets

In this shithole the dollar prices have skyrocketed and the prices of the internet are also HIGH AS FUCK compared to the average income, so if one were to buy the actual game online (spoiler alert: you can't because credit cards here don't work internationally) using dollars and then download the game using the shitty expensive internet, it would cost a fucking fortune, so at least torrenting cuts the price in half or less
